I ended up scouring their forums for a solution as to why the configurations I made wouldn't load and eventually I came to this: download the proper config. On top of that, the driver that you get from their website directly doesn't allow the configuration manager to work properly.

What Saitek fails to mention is that the CD that comes with it does not have drivers for Vista (I'm using 32 but they have both 32 and 64 bit drivers and configuration manager software on their website). So like most people, I assumed to just put the CD in and it would work. Installation was a great hassle at first because there are no detailed instructions supplied with it just a quick-start guide which is only a paragraph long (but in many different languages) and a CD. Ergonomically this device is perfect as it is designed so that your hand conforms to it (like a gamecube controller) and the pinkie trigger raises up 5 notches about a quarter-inch apart.Ĭons: Everything isn't without their flaws, and the X52 is no exception. The myriad of buttons is a bit overwhelming at first, but after sitting down with it for a few hours I finally worked out a nice configuration for FSX. All I can say is this peripheral is amazing! The build quality is very sturdy and the fit and finish is very nice. So to solve this problem I bought this X-52 Pro joystick. Pros: This thing is TRULY INCREDIBLE! I have been using a CH-Products yoke and rudder pedals setup for a few years now but they are a bit bulky to move in with me to college. take care of them and they will last atleast 3-4 years! very very precise! Overall Review: I love the sticks because they are so comfortable and programmable they are VERY large so make sure you have room on your desk for them. a month later I had brand new sticks at my door with a reciept that said "malfuntion - replaced!" then another problem arose, saitek has been slow and has not gotten their software up to par with Vista 圆4 so the SST programming software does not work- limiting my button capability. Providing for a massive number of buttons that after 9 months of owning i still have not attempted! they are very precise and the LEDs-if you want- can be dimmed or turned off.Ĭons: Well after I got my new system and plugged them in something came loose inside my first set and New egg would not take them back since i no longer had the packaging and reciepts so I went to the saitek forum and they asked me to send an email to the support, they told me to ship it back as securely as possible that they would repair or fix them. Using the magic bus you can literally type using your joysticks! More buttons than you should ever need not to mention that it comes with macro programming software so once you run out of buttons on the first mode there are still two others!! Pros: Incredible stick, very adjustable, works in every program.
